Thaksin University focus on integrated Sustainable Concept into curriculum and provide scholarship for Energy and/or Environment Research
Education in Thaksin University allow our students and staff attend for understanding of the complex issue of sustainability that cover climate change adaptation and mitigation, energy conservation, renewable energy, waste management, water management and green transportation. Thaksin University provides the classroom courses and outside classroom projects for our students to learn in the real environments by transforming our campuses to be an ideal environment for developing awareness and innovative solutions to problems that will improve the world for current and future generations. To do that, our initiatives focus not only on campus operations but also on educating our students and working with our colleagues to ensure our graduates are environmentally conscious.
For the 2020 Academic Year, Thaksin University has 2,597 courses offered, with a total of 81 courses related to the environment and sustainability, which is 3% of the total courses offered. The Faculty of Science has a Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences that teaches students about environmental management and sustainability, including waste water management, waste management, noise pollution, and air pollution. There are also activities that cultivate people in the community to preserve nature and the environment.
