On May 30, 2018, the President of Thaksin University had a meeting with the Provincial Electricity Authority to consider drafting an 81 million baht contract for a solar roof installation project that would generate renewable energy from the sun and reduce utility costs for electricity at both the Songkhla and Phatthalung campuses.
